We asked who makes your favorite burger in Peters Township and you answered: The winner of our Favorite Burger contest is Juniper Grill.
Patch reader and Peters resident Ruth Bosco left a five-star review on Juniper Grill's listing in Patch Places:
"The California burger is a favorite," she wrote. "The combination of toppings, including guacamole and red onion, is deliciously unique!"
Patricia Nepa wrote that Sharp Edge has the "GREATEST veggie burger in Pittsburgh!"
"You don't have to be vegetarian to appreciate how scrumptious that burger is," she wrote. "It is topped with sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, crumbled feta, tender baby greens, sliced tomatoes, red onion (which I leave off) and pesto mayo. Oh my! It is juicy, unlike veggie burgers at some other places. Whether you're a vegetarian, a carnivore cutting back on red meat or just a connoisseur of well-prepared, fresh food, I'm sure you will truly love SEB's Deluxe Veggie Burger. Yum!"
Peters councilman Jim Berquist nominated Lorenzo's burger.
"Lorenzo's burger is big, fresh, juicy and cooked to perfection," he wrote. "The bun is instrumental for any great burger and is what separates Lorenzo's from the other contenders—a perfect bun to 'seal the deal' and earn my vote for best burger in Peters."
He said the only negative is that Lorenzo's burger is served only on Fridays for lunch, "when Mario (the master chef) can give his full attention to details." He also said it's not available during Lent.
Juniper Grill will receive a certificate to be hung in the restaurant.
Congrats to Juniper Grill and stay tuned to Peters Patch for the next neighborhood contest!
