Council Votes to Install Turf at Peterswood Park
On Monday, Peters Council voted to spend nearly $900K to install artificial turf on a local soccer field.
According to the Post-Gazette, Peters Township Council voted on Monday to spend $895,430 to install artificial turf on a soccer field—equivalent to two full-size football fields—at Peterswood Park.
A partnership with the township's youth soccer league was formed to help defray costs, according to the newspaper.
The partnership and project calls for the Peters Township Soccer Association to pay the township $240,000 over three years, the newspaper reports. On Monday, PT received its first $100,000 installment from the organization.

What about the football field, will it be turfed?

Hi Dan - Township staff said there aren't any current plans to do any more turfing in the park, however this field is multi-use so it can be used for football. Does that help?
