Frozen Yogurt Shop in Peters Forced to Change Name

The business is seeking your input on creative, new ideas for a name—a $100 gift card to the store will be awarded to the winner.

A frozen yogurt shop in Peters Township is being forced to change its name just five months after its grand opening. Moo Moo's Yogurt Bar in Greenbrier, AK is claiming Moo Moo Frozen Yogurt is infringing on its trademark.

Owner Frank Chao is seeking the community's input on creative, new ideas for a name. To enter, you must submit an index card (provided) with your name, phone number, email address and your suggestion—one vote per person.

Chao is offering up a $100 gift card to the winner. All submissions must be turned in by Saturday, Sept. 15.

If the same name is submitted by multiple people, all names will be put into a fish bowl and one will be drawn at random. Also, the name must not infringe on another business, and Chao must be able to legally trademark the new name.

A second Pittsburgh Moo Moo Frozen Yogurt is currently being built, however construction has been altered due to the name change requirement. The original Moo Moo Frozen Yogurt is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
