Get Out: Demo Days, Daylily Show and Pasta Fundraiser

This weekend, U Rock is hosting its instrument rental program, Trax Farms is having a flower show and a recently relocated church is hosting a pasta fundraiser—among other events.

1. School Band Instrument Demo Days

Where/When: U ROCK Music Center, 12 to 8 p.m. on Friday through Sunday

Why Go: U Rock Music Center has all your band and orchestra instruments in-stock and ready to rent. All summer long you can try out any instrument for rental and have it ready for the first day of school. Free delivery to the school is available along with online rentals for your convenience. They also have a selection of accessories, including reeds, strings, sticks and care kits.

2. South Park Amphitheater Concert

Where?/When?: South Park Amphitheater, 7:30 p.m. on Friday

Why Go?: The Summer Concert Series continues in South Park with a performance by the Pittsburgh Symphony.

Pricing: Free

3. Daylily Show

Where?/When?: Trax Farms Market, 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday

Why Go?: Trax Farms has thousands of blooming daylilies in-stock, including unique collectibles and re-bloomers. The farm will end its daylily sale with a free show.

Pricing: Free

4. Pasta Luncheon Fundraiser

Where?/When?: Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday

Why Go?: Following the 10:30 a.m. service on July 8, Christ the Redeemer Parish will host a pasta luncheon to benefit the church's youth group. The lunch will be served in the former St. Genevieve Roman Catholic Church Parish Hall.

Pricing: A minimum donation of $5 is appreciated.

5. Joyful Noise Worship

Where/When: Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1 p.m. on Sunday

Why Go?: The Joyful Noise Worship is designed for families with members on the autism spectrum, but is also ideal for young children who may appreciate being able to move around during worship. Join the church for a service in which movement and noise are an expectation. Rhythm instruments accompany most songs and the circle time children's sermon is interactive.
