Get Out: Island Musical, Mother's Day Tea & Bike Safety Day

1. Once On This Island Jr.
Where/When: St. Benedict the Abbot Catholic Church, 8:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday
Why Go?: This weekend, the Abbey Players present the musical, “Once On This Island Jr.” The production is a feast for the heart, mind and soul with its poignant story and catchy Caribbean-flavored score.
Pricing: $10 for adults; $5 for children
2. Pancake and Sausage Breakfast
Where/When: Wrights United Methodist Church, 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go: Come and enjoy a great breakfast at Wrights United Methodist Church. The church is raising money for the “Future Pastors in Training” fund.
Pricing: $5 for adults; $3 for children
3. Paws for Reading
Where/When: Peters Township Public Library, 10 to 11:40 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Come to the library, curl up with a canine companion and read! In this returning program, children in grades 1 and up can visit with a registered therapy dog to gain extra self-confidence and fluency by spending time reading to these attentive animals. Call or stop in to sign up for your 20 minute time slot. Register in the Children's Department.

4. Mother’s Day Tea
Where/When: Trax Farms Market, 12 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Many teas, sandwiches, scones with jam and much more at this Mother's Day Tea. Plus, a chance to win a Mother's Day gift basket. Reservations required. Call 412.835.3246 to reserve your spot today.
Pricing: $20 per person
5. Bike Safety Day
Where?/When?: Community Recreation Center, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Bring your bicycle to the Peters Township CRC's side parking lot for safety inspections, an obstacle course and more.
Pricing: Free
