New Hearing Planned For Crematory Ordinance

An overflowing crowd attended the last hearing.

 

Peters Township Council will hold a public hearing on the zoning ordinance amendment to regulate crematories as a conditional use in the light industrial zoning district at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 21.

The Almanac reports that the council reached a consensus that the hearing will end no later than 9 p.m. and that residents wishing to speak must register prior to the meeting. You can register by calling Thomas Gromek at 724-941-4180 or emailing MASilvestri@peterstownship.com.

Comments may also be submitted in person, in writing or through a representative.

This is exactly what our staff and council need to be spending time on.
Our Twp. should have put this to a vote like the gas drilling haters.
Good politics makes for bad planning !
