Middle Schoolers Win Regional Math Competition
Recently, the seventh and eighth grade teams placed third and first at the CalcuSolve competition.
A handful of Peters Township Middle School students brought home awards from a regional mathematics competition recently.
The CalcuSolve competition was held at California University of Pennsylvania on May 23. The seventh and eighth grade teams placed third and first.
Language Arts/Gifted Support teacher Pamela Sanders said she's very proud of her students' accomplishments.
"Their collaboration and problem solving skills were tested by the 22 teams represented at the event," she said. "In the end, it was the strong leadership of Connor Schwartz and Varun Sharma—taking first and second respectively—along with Dylan Grosz; Andrew Parker; Anthony Biscardo; Mitch Dubaniewicz; Steven Hart; Joe McNamara and Stephanie Wang, to win first and third place overall.
"I was very proud of each individual student's effort and look forward to repeat success in the future."
