'Not the Same Old' Breast Health Program
Join Margie Webb at the Peters Township Public Library Saturday morning and get to know more about your 'girls.'
Do you know what the term “phluffing the girls” means?
Then Margie Webb, a Bethel Park massage therapist and registered nurse said you might not know as much about breast health than you think.
As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Webb urges women of all ages to learn about the importance of “phluffling the girls” and other breast health issues at a program she is hosting at the Peters Township Public Library from 10 am. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Trust her, she said: It’s not “the same old stuff.”
“Learn what your mother didn’t know and your doctor didn’t tell you,” Webb said recently.
Included in the seminar is information on breast anatomy, and discussion about how to change the negative thinking about monthly self-exams.
Also discussed will be how breast tissue changes over time, the challenges young women with breast cancer endure, and even information on male breast cancer.
Webb said the seminar is based off information and research she has compiled over the past several years—and is one that she first offered in 2009.
Still curious about that “phluffing the girls" (a technique she said is discussed in The Happy Breast Book)? All the more reason to attend the event.
A $5 donation to help offset material costs is appreciated, Webb said.
