Peters Police Charge Man With DUI, Accident Involving Injury

The charges stem from a two-vehicle crash on Sept. 13.

Peters Township police on Thursday filed charges of accident involving injury, driving under the influence and other offenses stemming from a two-vehicle crash on Venetia Road in September.

Online court records show that Gregory Hetrick was also charged with driving with a suspended license and a traffic violation.

Police said Hetrick crossed the center line of Venetia Road and struck a vehicle being driven by Stephanie McNary head-on, according to the Observer-Reporter.

Both McNary and Hetrick had been admitted to Allegheny General Hospital after the crash, where both were listed in fair condition the next day, a spokeswoman had confirmed.

Online court records show that Hetrick was arraigned Thursday by district Judge James Ellis, who released him on his own recognizance.
