Police: Multiple Theft Investigations Continue

Here's an update from Peters Township police.

Theft, Theft and More Theft

Dec. 2—2:59 p.m.: A black female with a blonde streak in her hair fled from after a sales person noticed a bottle of Lemon Sorbet in her Coach purse, according to police. A male was driving the red Hyundai Sonata they left in. The bottle is valued at $21.99.

Dec. 4—4:08 p.m.: The investigation continues after a 16G black and silver iPod Touch was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at the 100 block of Scenic Ridge Drive. Police believe it occurred between midnight and 5:30 a.m. Dec. 4.

Dec. 5—9:30 a.m.: A second vehicle theft occurred nearby, in the 600 block of Scenic Ridge Drive. According to police, it occurred between 9 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 6 a.m. on the Dec. 4. An unopened case of Miller Lite ($25) was stolen, as well as a container of goldfish crackers and a juicebox case. 

Criminal Mischief/Unruly Behavior

Dec. 3—12:22 p.m.: 10 Volkswagen Jettas were discovered damaged at . Something was dragged across the vehicles’ trunk lids, according to police. One vehicle is a 2006 model; six 2009s; and three 2008s.

Dec. 4—12 p.m.: Donald Marchisotto, 50, of Aston Court in McMurray, was cited for unruly behavior at Miller’s Ace Hardware, according to police. He entered the store trying to return a can of spray paint with no receipt. The sales person searched the system, couldn't find it on record and refused to return his money. Marchisotto argued and refused to leave. Marchisotto then found the reciept in his car; police offered to return it for him—he refused.

No Serious Injuries

Dec. 1—3:07 p.m.: No one was injured after a three-car accident at Washington and Dam roads (the McDowell Lane connector, in front of ). Samantha Tarr Chrysler, 17, of Bethel Park; Jeffrey Collins, 42, of Gibsonia; and Barbara Flemming, 64, of Library, were all involved.

Dec. 2—9:24 a.m.: There were no injuries after a two-vehicle accident on Route 19. Carla Simons, 59, of Avella was turning left out of when her vehicle and Edward Sacco’s collided. Sacco, 60, of Greenhill Drive in Washington, was unable to avoid the crash, he told police.

Dec. 2—1:22 p.m.: One woman was transported to St. Clair Hospital for neck pain following a two-vehicle accident at the 2800 block of Washington Road. Cynthia Ann D’Agostino, 56, of Venetia, slowed to turn into , when she was struck by Paul Hennen’s vehicle. Hennen, 65, of Pittsburgh was driving with his daughter, Brittany, 27, according to police. Colonial Modern had damage to its sign and grass.

Arrests

Dec. 4—2:33 a.m.: Matthew Dickson, 26, passed out behind the wheel at 200 Waterdam Road. A witness found him incoherent in his Dodge Avenger—when shaken he drove into a nearby yard. His blood alcohol level read .173. According to police, he was stumbling, swaying and shivering just before his arrest.

Dec. 5—7:13 a.m.: Police were called to for a drug violation. Assistant principal Christian Lesnett witnessed the student arrive at school—when searched by police, they found marijuana in his possession.
