Principal Fisher Goes Blue for PV
A completed reading challenge meant blue hair for Pleasant Valley Elementary's principal Mike Fisher.
At the National Blue Ribbon celebration this month, Pleasant Valley Elementary Principal Mike Fisher announced that PV students met 100 percent of their reading challenge.
To honor the accomplishment, he promised he'd do something "silly."
Last Friday, Fisher let two students paint his hair blue.
During the school's televised morning announcements, Alexa Goldsmith and Zach Hymson did the honors.
Goldsmith was the top reader in the two-week challenge—she read 210 books. Hymson's name was randomly selected from the participating students.
Following his paint session, Fisher turned the tables on Goldsmith and Hymson and painted their hair blue as well.
