PSU Board of Trustees Fires Paterno, Spanier
Penn State University's Board of Trustees announced the news Wednesday night.
After a full day of deliberation, the Penn State University Board of Trustees decided to release head coach Joe Paterno and President Graham Spanier of their duties.
The all-time winningest coach was notified Wednesday evening via phone.
The press conference lasted approximately 20 minutes.
For Saturday's game versus Nebraska, Tom Bradley has been named interim head coach.
