Recycling Your Christmas Tree in Peters is Simple

In return, pine mulch will be available for residents at no cost after Feb. 4.

Taking down the Christmas tree is a bittersweet moment, but enlivens a fresh start for a new year. Am I correct?

So why not start with recycling?

Peters Township will be accepting Christmas trees at Peterswood Park through Jan. 31. Township Manager Michael Silvestri said they should be dropped off at Baseball Field #2's parking lot.

In return, pine mulch will be available for residents at no cost after Feb. 4.

Public Works Director Peter Overcashier said an average of 200 trees are collected and recycled annually.
