Monday marks the start of roadwork at the entrance to St. Clair Hospital's outpatient facility currently under construction.
The Peters Township project, along Route 19, is being completed by Gulisek Construction, LLC to install a turning lane and upgrade traffic signals.
The roadwork is anticipated to be complete by Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31. During construction, nightly lane restrictions will be in place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Call Peters at 724-941-4180 with any further questions.

I am curious to what it going to look like. Traffic now is quite heavy in that area. There are times around 3-5 pm that the north bound lanes are backed up past Miller's Hardware.

Ouch. This could get really messy, along with the 20 minute ride to get from the McMurray road firehouse to the Rolling Hills Country Club.

We really need a turning lane at the High School and the elementary school. Buses could turn and traffic could still move towards 19. Traffic backs up before and after school along with the one lane restriction at the top of the hill.
The guide rail down by the High School needs repaired The rail is falling towards the creek.

Whatever happened to the plan to control the traffic lights from Waterdam through Peters? I can get on 19N at Waterdam and hit EVERY red light from there to Valley Brook at a low traffic time like 7AM on a Sunday morning. Ridiculous, intolerable, inexcusable.
