Many Peters Township residents did their part in raising funds for the American Cancer Society as they took part in Relay for Life last weekend.
Centered around a board game theme, the event was held on the Peters Township High School track Saturday. The fundraiser included a luminaria ceremony, a special-ceremony lap, entertainment, activities and a pancake breakfast Sunday morning.
Event co-chairs Phil Hobbs and Tom Ultsch, and American Cancer Society volunteer coordinator Margie Smith, worked diligently to make the event a success.
According to the Peters Township Relay for Life Facebook page, more than $90,000 was raised and money is still incoming.
