DESCRIPTION:Michael Klare\, director and professor of the Five College Pr
 ogram in Peace and World Security Studies\, will discuss &ldquo\;America
 's Energy Dilemma: How to Choose Between Old and New Energy Options?" at
  a public lecture Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at Washington &amp\; Jefferson Colle
 ge(W&amp\;J) in the Howard J. Burnett Center&rsquo\;s Yost Auditorium.\n
 Klare&rsquo\;s lecture is the first of four presentations that will take
  place this academic year as part of the W&amp\;J Energy Lecture Series.
 \nKlare has written extensively on U.S. defense policy\, international a
 rms trade and energy geopolitics. His most recent book is The Race for W
 hat&rsquo\;s Left: The Global Scramble for the World&rsquo\;s Last Resou
 rces. His other works include Rising Powers\, Shrinking Planet: The New 
 Geopolitics of Energy\, &nbsp\;Blood and Oil: The Dangers and Consequenc
 es of America&rsquo\;s Growing Dependency on Imported Petroleum\, Resour
 ce Wars\, and Rogue States and Nuclear Outlaws.\nKlare has contributed t
 o numerous edited volumes of works and has published articles in various
  journals such as Foreign Affairs\, Harper's\, International Security\, 
 Newsweek\, Scientific American\, Technology Review\, and World Policy Jo
 urnal\, among others. He also published op-ed articles in the Boston Glo
 be\, Los Angeles Times\, Miami Herald\, San Francisco Chronicle and USA 
 Today.\nKlare is the defense correspondent for The Nation magazine and a
  contributing editor of Current History. He also works with non-governme
 ntal organizations in the fields of peace\, disarmament and human rights
  and serves on the board of directors for the Arms Control Association.\
 nThe lecture is free and open to the public\, but registration is sugges
