Diving in Rather Than Testing with the Toes
Who is this new blogger? Get to know me by reading what I'm obsessed with, absolutely love and totally dig while probably rambling on a tad bit.
Hi you all and let me introduce myself. I’ve probably seen you at GetGo or Giant Eagle. Our kids might go to school together or in the same Boy Scout troop. Our husband’s might work together or we’ve used your husband’s services. This is my first blog on Patch. I’m jumping right into the water with a huge sign saying HI!
A few things about me. I am obsessed with the color turquoise. It’s been four years now since we started looking into gutting and redesigning our kitchen. Three years ago we started and I painted the walls turquoise. I also love any and every fashion and home accessory that’s turquoise. Actually if I could buy a vintage car that color I would, and I’ve seen them too, though not practical with three kids. So I’ll stick with my turquoise colored walls.
I am also obsessed with the Foo Fighters. Love them! I was not a fan of Nirvana but Foo Fighters, I could go on and on. In my opinion they are the best live band happening right now. They are coming to Pittsburgh and the region mid September. I am already trying to figure out how I can get to as many shows as possible.

I have three kids and I’m not a young mom. I am proud to be 41 years old, 42 is knocking on the door and I had my third child 8 months ago. A girl, yeah! She has two older brothers who are the best. I love love love my kids. I am the mama bear and will fight or grovel for them to have what they need. All with a smile and tray of cookies of course.
I also am a very proud homemaker. Yep I used the term homemaker. I am the domestic engineer, housewife but most importantly I make the home. I’m a throw back to the 50s in some respect. I love 50s fashion, I love 50s Danish design and I love being home with my kids. I cook, clean, do laundry and my goal is to have dinner on the table when my husband gets home. Sometimes accomplished, sometimes not.

I also am a business woman. It’s in my blood. I love business. I grew up surrounded by entrepreneurs and I totally believe it’s in my DNA. So I have a business that I’m fully passionate about and totally dig. Here’s the deal though, my family comes first, non negotiable, flat out how it is. I do believe in having it all and I do believe in the ever elusive balancing act of a modern day woman.
Did I ask if I could stay anonymous while blogging, absolutely. But what the hay, as I’ve said I’m jumping in without testing the waters!
