Peters Township graduates receive Washington Financial Scholarship

Peters Township graduates Andrew J. Grosso, Kyle Gregory Mottola, and Olivia Vanistendael received scholarships from Washington Financial Bank.  The Bank awards 10 scholarships to local students each year based primarily on community service and academic achievement. 

Mr. Grosso is actively involved in the St. Benedict the Abbot Church, where he volunteers with Habitiat for Humanity, the soup kitchen, and Villa Maria Farms.  Mr. Grosso plans to study Aerospace Engineering at Virginia Tech.

Mr. Mottola donates his time and talents with the Boy Scouts of America, National Honor Society, and Bridgeville Brass.  He plans to study Engineering at the University of Dayton.

Ms. Vanistendael volunteers with the National Honor Society and Girl Scouts of America.  She plans to study Engineering at North Carolina State University.

Other recipients of the Bank's 2014 scholarship include Savannah Ammons, Alexa Kostyak, Kaitlin McCracken, Rachel Rozak, Amy Russell, Haley Sutton, and Antonio “Tug” Tatano.
