Soldier Collection Drive

Peters Township Character Counts collected over 4700 items.  Boxes were located at all PT schools, municipal building, library, police dept., recreation center, VFW, McMurray dairy bar, Mortland Therapy, Faith Community Church Lakeside.  Over 3600 items were donated at PT schools and students wrote 618 thank you notes to soldiers.  Allegheny Sport Medicine donated 1500 lip balms.  117 items were collected for female soldiers.   All items were delivered to Operation Troop Appreciation located in the Century III mall.
