Eggcellent Guide to Pre-Easter Fun

An event guide for the days leading up to Easter.

Spring has sprung and Easter is just around the corner! Peters offers many events for you and your family to enjoy this holiday season. Most events start this weekend, so we have compiled a list of events that you don’t want to miss. Mark this guide in your favorites on our new iPhone app!

Apr. 15, 6 - 8 p.m., Stop by for an . The event features an auction and an adorable performance by the church’s preschoolers.

Apr. 15 - 23 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., One of the best things to do with kids during the Easter season is an . Luckily, is offering a daily egg hunt until Apr. 23. There is tons to do at the farm such as crafts, visiting the petting zoo and enjoying the nature trail. Weather won’t ruin you Easter plans at the farm either—events will be moved to the greenhouse. Cost for these activities is $10 per child.

Apr. 15 - 26, 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m., South Hills Village Mall has transformed the Lower Level North Court into a Springtime Garden. Kids can ride on the for $2.25 a ride or $7 for 4 rides. Be sure to visit the and get a memorable holiday picture.

Apr. 16, 10 a.m. - noon, A tradition for many residents is the . Kids can enjoy crafts, games, a balloon artist and the Easter Bunny. The cost for the event is $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents. Children under the age of 2 are free. We'll be there!

Apr. 16, 17, 22 & 23, 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m., is a great place to bring the family during any holiday season. Start your day off with and a craft. After breakfast, children can search through the bunny patches where over 5,000 eggs have been hidden. Other outdoor activities include a barnyard petting zoo, pony rides, rainbow express train and more! The cost for breakfast is $8 and the is $7 per child.

Apr. 19 & 21, 6 - 6:45 p.m., The is hosting a story time and ! This is a great way to celebrate Easter with the whole family. The event is free, but registration is required. Stop by the Children’s Department today to register.

Apr. 16, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., The historic Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is inviting the ! Don’t miss your chance to take photos with the famous bunny or check out the museum. The cost for the event is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children. They also offer a family rate of $35 for up to two adults and four children.
