Expect Snow in Peters This Weekend

A winter weather advisory begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Two Clipper-type systems will mean lots of snow in western Pennsylvania this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advisory for snow is in effect from 10 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday. The weather service forecasts snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches. Those totals could go as high as 6 to 10 inches in the higher ridge elevations.

The snow will begin mid-morning Saturday and end Sunday evening, with the heaviest snow coming Saturday afternoon into midday Sunday, NWS states on its website.
