Get Out: Peters Lake Day Camp, Trail Walk & Golf Tournament

Where/When: (Shelter No. 4), 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday and Friday
Why Go: Appreciate the great outdoors with interesting speakers, nature hikes, crafts with recycled material, and a day of fishing and exploring at the gorgeous Peters Lake Park on Friday! Call 724-942-5000 for registration information.

Where?/When?: and St. Petersburg Center, 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: The Twilight Trail Walk is an annual benefit dear to trail lovers near and far. From 8:30-10:30 p.m., participants can walk along the luminaria-lit Arrowhead Trail (the Peters portion) for $7. Walkers will also receive a glow necklace and an entry into a raffle for great prizes from McMurray businesses. This year, there are two starting locations planned: / and St. Petersburg Center on Valley Brook Road.

Where?/When?: 320 E. McMurray Rd., Pittsburgh, PA, 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday
Why Go?: The DeMarillac Guild of St. Louise DeMarillac Church is holding a flea market, "Timeless Treasures," on Friday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a bag sale from noon to 1 p.m. in the LeGras Parish Center. Items will include jewelry, decorative items, knick-knacks, kitchen items, gently used children's clothing to 4T and much more.

Where?/When?: South Park Nature Center at 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: All ages are invited to look for and learn about these beautiful, fascinating creatures. Appropriate for youth and adults.

Where?/When?: Lindenwood Golf Club at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Lt. Terrence Mulkeen Memorial Golf Tournament is a charity outing that funds a $6,000 scholarship of the same name. Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 1 p.m. A ticket for a hot dog and drink will be given to each golfer. Participants should arrive by 12:30 p.m. to allow plenty of time to register. The cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner-only guests are encouraged to arrive at this time. The buffet dinner (dress is casual) begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by an awards ceremony and prize raffle. .
Pricing: $160 per golfer; $45 for dinner only
