Here are 10 spooktacular events for your weekend planning!

Why Go?: Trax Farms is offering scenic hayrides and a chance to explore the corn maze on Wednesdays and Fridays until Oct. 28. Call 412-835-3246 to register for a large group.
Pricing: $8, adult; $6, children 4 to 12; free for kids ages 3 and under

Where?/When?: The Little Gym of Pittsburgh, 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: The Little Gym is happy to offer its members a safe place to celebrate Halloween. The entire facility will be transformed into a Halloween carnival with games, activities, refreshments, prizes and more! .

Where?/When?: , 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday.
Why Go?: Simmons Farms is geared up for fall with plenty of activities for the whole family. Activities include sampling cider, hay maze, nature challenge trail, pumpkin carving and so much more!

Where?/When?: Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, 10 a.m to 5 p.m. on Friday through Sunday
Why Go?: You and your little ones can ride the pumpkin trolley and choose your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch! Then visit the pumpkin decoration station and the amazing mini-maze!

Where?/When?: Hundred Acres, 7 to 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday
Why Go?: The Hundred Acres Manor is one of Pittsburgh’s largest haunted houses. Don’t miss this last chance to check out all the spooks and scares.

Why Go?: The 7th annual Jack-O-Lantern Jog will be held rain or shine on Oct. 29. This race is a fundraiser to benefit the Scholarship Foundation of Canon-McMillan. Bring your friends and families. Online registration will end at 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 28. Special awards will be given to top three men and women overall. Special awards will be given in the Masters division to the top two men and women overall (age 40 and older). Medals will be given to the top 5 finishers in several age categories, male and female. Team awards and fun awards will also be presented. Over 50 quality raffle prizes will be offered in a Chinese auction raffle, including at least ten grand prizes.

Why Go?: The Castle Shannon Revitalization Corporation presents its first Fall Festival and Costumed Pet Contest. The contest kicks off the festival starting at 11 a.m. on Willow Avenue between Park and Poplar Avenues. Well-behaved pets are encouraged to attend. There is no charge to enter your pet in the contest. The Fall Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature food from Castle Shannon eateries, face painting and pet photography.

Why Go?: Sunny Bridge Natural Foods presents a class taught by Lori Karavolis on cooking gluten-free for Halloween. This demonstration includes everything a parent or child needs to create a tasty and scary gluten-free Halloween. Lori will show attendees how to make two easy recipes for treats, develop a menu to satisfy kids and adults, discuss foods safe for a gluten-free or casein-free diet, hand out lots of samples, and demonstrate how to make a treat bag kids will love. For those looking for recipes to use during this season, Lori will also pass out recipes and a binder will be available with Halloween treat photos so the participant can get ideas for their own gluten-free party. Why Go?: The Monster Mash Bash, held in downtown Canonsburg, features a scavenger hunt, games, costumes, judging, music and more!
