Get Out: Night at the Races, Scott Blasey & Saturday for Sofia

Why Go?: The Track and Field Booster Club is sponsoring a Night at the Races. Place your bets for a fun-filled evening! Cost includes dinner, beer, wine, soft drinks and entertainment. Call 724-941-4492 for ticket information.
Pricing: $30 entry fee; $10 for horse ownership; $5 to sponsor a jockey

Where?/When?: , 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: , lead singer of The Clarks, will emcee the sixth-annual event featuring Chinese, silent and live auctions. Blasey will be performing at the event in addition to action painter, George Williams, who will be creating two original works of art to be auctioned during the evening. Proceeds from the event will support the school's scholarship fund, art program and the purchase of adaptive equipment for preschool use.

Where/When: , 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go: Pet Search is holding a Vendor and Craft Show benefiting animal rescue. The event will be held in the cafeteria of Trinity High School. There will be many local vendors and crafters with wonderful products for sale. A Chinese auction will be held with the proceeds donated to Pet Search for the rescue and care of homeless animals. Please come do your shopping and support Pet Search as they continue to rescue homeless and unwanted animals!

Where?/When?: BMX Track at South Park, 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: All ages are invited to the South Park BMX Open House. The BMX Track is located in South Park and is part of the Allegheny County Parks Department. The first race of the season will start at 7 p.m. Click here for more information.

Where/When: , 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Help find a cure for this little girl from by tipping for a cure. All tips between 8 to 11 p.m. will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
