Get Out: Sunny Bridge Open House, Movie Night & 'School House Rock'

Here are five event picks Thursday through Sunday in Peters. What are you doing?

1.

Where?/When?: , 10 a.m. on Thursday and Friday; 11 a.m. on Saturday

Why Go?: Sunny Bridge in McMurray is hosting its 10th anniversary celebration. The open house will be held Thursday through Saturday during regular store hours at 130 Gallery Drive. During the anniversary celebration, there will be a daily 10 percent discount offered on all products, a variety of speakers, free samples, raffles, prizes and giveaways!  for the event schedule.

Where/When: , 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday

Why Go?: Stop in the library on Friday to watch a free movie! The library supplies the popcorn, and the movie will be displayed on the overhead projector and big screen. Friday night's movie is "Breaking Dawn."

Where?/When?: , 7:30 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday

Why Go?: Peters Township Middle School presents School House Rock, Jr.! Tickets may be purchased at showtime based on availability.

Pricing: $6 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens

4.

Where/When: , Thursday through Sunday

Why Go?: Peters Township High School photography classes will exhibit their work in the main lobby of the library during normal hours. "The Gallery" is a display of hundreds of student photographs from the classes and club at the high school.

Where/When: , 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday

Why Go?: Learn how to be a responsible, fun and safe babysitter. This class for girls and boys—ages 11-15—will show you how to care for infants and children including feeding, holding, burping, diapering and dressing. You'll also learn how to play with children and keep them safe, how to discipline them and how to respond in an emergency. An official Red Cross Certificate is awarded to everyone who passes this training. CPR is not taught in this class, although students will be taught how to help an infant or child who is choking, and how to do rescue breathing. Register at the library's circulation desk. Students should bring a bag lunch.
