Jim McNutt, a photojournalist with the Observer-Reporter newspaper in Washington for 42 years, will be this month's speaker at the Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Camera club meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 meeting in the Peters Township Library.
McNutt began his career as a photojournalist in the Army. His first assignment? Photograph the Viet Nam war. In 1970, McNutt joined the O-R and hasn't put his camera down since.
Be sure to bring your camera.
McNutt will conduct a workshop on photographing by window light and how to shoot silhouettes. Forget setting your camera on automatic. He'll show you how to get the correct exposure for those dramatic shots. You'll be able to see his results projected on a big screen then take your turn using your own camera.
