David's Music House - Maggie Diamond House Concert

Maggie Diamond was singing lead vocals and playing keyboard in her first band by the age of 19. Although she has been writing original music since the age of 12, Diamond also spent several years as front woman for the Pittsburgh band Crosstalk in the late eighties. Disenchanted with singing other people’s music, in 1989 Diamond released her first EP of five inspirational songs entitled The Spirit and the Bride, which included the songs There’s a River, Morning May 30 th and Why. There’s a River was chosen as the theme song for the Greek Orthodox YAL Conference held in Pittsburgh PA in 1989. Digitally remastered for its 20 th anniversary, The Spirit and the Bride will soon be available on CD. During a long hiatus from performing, Diamond has continued to work on her songwriting craft and has recently returned to performing. The result is a body of songs which reflect the life experiences, maturity and wisdom of a woman with stories to tell. She is currently writing for her second self- produced CD Scenes of My Crimes with an anticipated release date of 2013.
