Food, Fireworks and More Planned for Upcoming Peters Township Community Day Celebration

Here's what you need to know about the June 29 event.

There will be food, fireworks and more at the upcoming 35th annual Peters Township Community Day celebration.

In fact, this spectacular event will include more than 160 food, craft, games and vendor booths.

Included are children’s activities and games—plus entertainment for the whole family.

The event is slated from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 29 in Peterswood Park.

Come for the day and then come back at night for fireworks display at 9:30.

But be aware: There is limited parking available at the park, so shuttle service will be available from the Peters Township Middle School and Bower Hill School.

In addition to vendor booths featuring food, crafts, local businesses, there will also be a Community Day raffle with prizes awarded every five minutes. Tickets for the raffle will be sold at Shelter #1.

WJPA Radio will broadcast live from the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and there will also be an airbrush artist, a juggler on stilts, bag piping by George Balderose (from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) and a musical performance by George Suhon and Tim Grealish (from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. respectively).

The day will end with a fireworks display starting at 9:30 p.m.
