Little Lake Theatre Presents a Doggone Good Comedy, 'Sylvia'

The play centers around marriage, mid-life crisis and a funny man-woman-dog love triangle.

Little Lake Theatre Company presents "Sylvia," a comedy by A.R. Gurney that plays about marriage, a mid-life crisis and a mutt named Sylvia who inserts herself into both.

Sylvia, a part lab-part poodle mix, follows Greg home from the park one day, smack dab into his mid-life crisis. She eyes the cushy sofa, tastes the Bark Bar, and sinks her teeth into a pair of expensive shoes.

Sylvia is a distraction to everything that's wrong in Greg's life, and he is smitten.  His wife, Kate, is not. It's a set-up for great laughs, and provides one of the funniest love triangles ever: Man, wife, dog.

Kate Neubert-Lechner is featured as Sylvia. Art DeConciliis, Pat Cena Fuchel and Terry Westwood comprise the talented ensemble. The comedy is directed by Little Lake's Artistic Director, Sunny Disney Fitchett.

"Sylvia" plays through June 29 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. with one Sunday matinee on June 23 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available through the box office: 724-745-6300.  For more information, visit the Little Lake Theatre's website.
