Little Lake's Looking Glass Theatre Celebrates 40 Years

Families are invited to join in celebration at the "Best Birthday Party Ever" Sunday.

Families looking for enjoyable and creative summer fun will find it at Little Lake Theatre this weekend.

Little Lake invites families to put on their party hats and dancing shoes, grab their cameras and head to the theater for the "Best Birthday Party Ever."

This Sunday, Little Lake’s Looking Glass Theatre celebrates its 40th birthday from noon to 3 p.m., and invites children of all ages for fun face-painting, cool cookie-decorating and silly sing-a-longs.

The cast of the season-opening children’s musical "" will perform scenes, as well as the young musicians from the Pittsburgh Music Academy.

Partygoers will also have the chance to make a puppet; plant a beanstalk; pet a miniature donkey; learn a dance routine, perform it on stage and have their picture taken with characters from the theater's shows like Madeline, Pinkalicious and the Cowardly Dragon.

Birthday admission buttons can be purchased for $5 at the Little Lake box office through July 10. Admission includes all activities.

Refreshments will be available for purchase. Attendees who purchase two or more birthday admission buttons prior to July 10 will get one for free.
