Car Crash With Injuries Reported on W. McMurray Road in Peters

First responders have suggested local travelers avoid West McMurray Road in Peters Township if they can because of a crash in the area Wednesday morning.

As a result of the crash, a portion of the road is closed, witnesses report.

A Washington County 911 supervisor said injuries have been reported in the two-car crash near Windridge Drive.

Peters Township Police Department, Peters Township Fire Department and North Strabane Fire Department are on scene, he confirmed.

However, passersby said a medical helicopter had been summoned.

A resident nearby said something needs to be done about the intersection because there are far too many crashes there.

"It seems I'm running out there every other week, because of these accidents. Need a light, or speed limit needs to be changed," Lisa Wilson said.
