Heat Advisory Issued for Washington County

With the temperature expected to soar to 90 degrees today, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Washington County.

The advisory will be in effect from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday, the website indicates.

While the mercury might read 90 degrees, it will feel more like 100, the website indicates.

"The heat could make it dangerous to perform outdoor activities during the afternoon," the website indicates. "The heat could also be dangerous for those without air conditioning."

For those who need a break from the heat, cooling stations have been set up throughout the county. For more information on where they are located, click here.
