Patch Pets: Meet Maggie!

This pretty 3-year-old girl is Maggie.

Her owners surrendered Maggie to the Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh after two years because she didn't quite feel comfortable with the small children in the home. Nevertheless, this pointer-mix is extremely sweet, enjoys her Kong chew toy very much and seems to like other dogs, too.

Maggie was also crate-trained and knows sit, stay, down and lay. However, she's not fond of felines, so a cat-free home would be ideal. She’s also is a fan of going outside when it rains. Based on her behavior in her previous home, Maggie should live in an adult only home or a home with older children.

It does take her time to warm up to strangers, but loves people once she feels safe. We think she'll love curling up on the couch with you to watch your favorite show or take a nice long walk on a day.
