American Cancer Society Offers Daffodils to Donors

Visiting Angels, an organization that serves Peters Township, is coordinating the fundraiser.

Visiting Angels Washington PA/Pittsburgh West is a local volunteer coordinator for the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days.

Each spring, the ACS offers daffodils to donors in appreciation for a contribution. By sending bunches of daffodils to friends, family members and people touched by cancer, donors are sharing a message of hope and raising funds and awareness to help defeat cancer.

“Visiting Angels Washington PA/Pittsburgh West believes strongly in helping our seniors live long, productive lives," said Val Candee, owner of the local VA office. "Battling cancer is one small way we are able to support our seniors."

While the Daffodil Days program involves offering daffodils every spring to donors in appreciation for their contributions, it is about more than just giving beautiful flowers—it is everyone's opportunity to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays, where cancer never steals another year from anyone’s life.

Orders from organizations or individuals will be taken through Feb. 28 by calling 724-745-6857.
