Casino Overhauls Slots, Announces $1 Million Jackpot

Company officials said the upgrades were made to enhance patrons' experiences at the venue—while also announcing a $1 million jackpot.

 will begin utilizing a new server-based gaming technology for the facility’s slot machines, allowing the casino operators to design and deliver customized player experiences. 

The casino, located in , also is adding new engaging slots—which are first in the region—and will include Batman Dark Knight Center Stage, Aladdin and a BonusBox, a unit connected to the slot machines containing select valuable prizes.

The Meadows will utilize a gaming system that will allow it to bring the most popular games on the floor sooner, therefore having each machine store multiple games and the ability to play in multiple denominations. The majority of slots in Pennsylvania are currently configured with only one game theme per machine, forcing guests to consistently relocate in order to access other games.

“Adding both this unique technology and popular games to our floor will provide both convenience and enhancement to our guests’ gaming experience,” said Michael Jankoviak, director of slots for The Meadows Racetrack & Casino. “We will be able to offer the latest themes to our customers, which previously would have taken several months to order, deliver and manually install into each machine.”

The system is expected to be in place on 40 of its machines by Friday, pending Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approval.

The recent opening of the movie Batman has generated great excitement for the Batman Dark Knight game featuring a one 72-inch and two 40-inch screens that display actual movie graphics from the movie. 

In addition, The Meadows has two high-end promotional giveaways including a $1.1 million jackpot as part of a linked progressive pot of 10 games. This is currently the largest jackpot in the state and requires a denomination of $5 and two coins for a chance to win.

Coming soon, guests will also have the chance to win a new car on the Winner’s Pace slot bank.
