PTPL Cooking Club

The theme for June's Cooking Club is PICNIC FOODS! Are you tired of bringing the same old potato salad to family picnics? Or do you have a favorite recipe to share that is a tradition at the neighborhood summer get-togethers?

Join us as we sample a few picnic dishes prepared by club members and talk about our favorites. To attend the meeting, registration is required at the library circulation desk by Monday, June 4 at noon. The $5 meeting fee covers the cost of the food samples and paper products. You can indicate at the time of registration if you are interested in being a volunteer chef for the meeting, and you will be reimbursed for your cooking expenses.

Need something different to serve at the Memorial Day picnic? Try this Orzo with Roasted Vegetables recipe from Ina Garten of the Food Network. Like Ina says, "It's colorful, it's delicious and it's good for you!" If you're an Ina Fan too, you'll want to check out her many cookbooks in the non-fiction collectionon the 2nd floor of the library.
