Get Out: 'Dooby Dooby Moo,' Peters Community Day and Wine Tasting at Trax

Why Go: The library is offering a technology program in the new senior space of the library, the . Library staff and volunteers will work hands-on with technologies such as the iPad, eReaders, iPods, downloadable books and more. No registration is required.

Where/When: 139 S Main St., Washington, Thursday, 3 - 6 p.m.
Why Go: The Main Street Farmers Market will have produce and other locally-made products each and every week. The market also features local musicians and an educational tent.

Why go?: To join in on the game you must be a township resident and member of the recreation center. This is a drop-in format coordinated by Dave Davis.

Why go?: The U-Rock Music Center has hundreds of instruments in stock and available to rent all summer long! Anyone can demo any instrument from string to bass and everything in between!

Why Go?: "Dooby Dooby Moo" is based on the book by Doreen Cronin. The show features a talent show at the county fair with farm animals. Everyone in the family will enjoy this "mooooosical!" We'll be there!

Why Go?: This event is to honor Lisa Clay Styles as a mother, wife, friend and runner. Lisa was hit by a car when the car ran a stop sign on Jun. 28, 2010. She passed away the following day. Her final act before being struck was to push the stroller with two of her young children to safety. The race will start near the children's playground in South Park and continue up Corrigan Drive. This is a stroller-friendly 5K Run and one-mile walk. Click here to register.
Pricing: $25 for the 5K Run, $20 for the one-mile walk; all participants registering in advance are guaranteed a T-shirt.

Why Go: Children in grades second through fifth can show their patriotism for the 4th of July by creating a cool waving flag!

Why Go?: Peters Township residents are invited to the 33rd Annual Community Day. Come and enjoy food, entertainment, raffles, games and more! Local vendors will be in attendance (including us!) to display products and offer giveaways. Parking will be available at Bower Hill and the middle school with a shuttle service to the park. Also, fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. Make sure you stop by the Patch tent and meet the team!

Why Go?: Showcase your talents at this open-mic night! David’s Music House has excellent sound systems, mics, drums and keyboards.
