Man Sues Peters Township Sanitary Authority After Getting Fired

The man claims he was fired because of his disability.

A Chartiers man is suing the Peters Township Sanitary Authority to return to his job and receive compensation for lost wages and emotional distress, according to the Post-Gazette.

James Levers, 55, claims in the lawsuit that he was discriminated against due to his disability. He reportedly injured his leg in an accident in July 2011. After undergoing surgery and therapy, his attempts to return to work were declined and he was fired in November 2012.

The newspaper was unable to get a comment from the Peters Township Sanitary Authority in the lawsuit.
