Market District Giant Eagle to Sell Beer

A variety of 350 different beer and other malt beverages will be stocked with a focus on microbrews, craft beers and premium brands starting Aug. 24.

 has received approval from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to sell beer at its Bethel Park Market District store located at 7000 Oxford Drive in the Village Square Mall.

Beer sales will begin Wednesday, Aug. 24.

As in other Giant Eagle locations, the sale of beer will be limited to two beers for on-premise restaurant consumption when purchased with food, or two six packs when purchased for off-premises use.

Giant Eagle began the Pennsylvania in-store sale of beer in November 2009 and is presently licensed to sell beer from café-style areas inside a total of 27 stores across western Pennsylvania.
