New Restaurant to Open in Former Damon's Late Summer

The restaurant is partly owned by Dan Marino.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is set to open late summer in Peters Township.

The restaurant chain will open in the former Damon's building at 102 McDowell Ln., Canonsburg, PA 15317, near Peters Lake.

The restaurant first opened in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2002 and has since expanded to six states. In Pittsburgh, there are Anthony's Coal Fired Pizzas in Robinson and Monroeville.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza specializes in—you guessed it—pizza. The pizzas are cooked in a 800-degree oven for about four minutes—giving them a well-done flavor, according to the restaurant's website.

Coal-oven-roasted chicken wings topped with caramelized onions and Eggplant Marino are some other dishes customers can order.
