Pittsburgh's First Fresh Market Opens July 3

A variety of grand opening activities are planned.

Pittsburgh foodies might call this breaking news.

The area's first Fresh Market will open its doors at 9 a.m. on July 3, according to Mt. Lebanon Magazine.

Grand opening activities include cooking demonstrations, food sampling and drawings for gift cards. The first 1,000 people through the door receive a bag of gourmet coffee.

The new European-style specialty grocery store is located at the site of the old Roth Carpet building on the corner of Route 19 and Connor Road.
