The Meadows Racetrack & Casino Plans $2.5 Million in Improvements

A ribbon-cutting is expected in mid-December.

The Meadows Racetrack & Casino recently began another round of improvements to the all-inclusive entertainment destination.

The $2.5 million investment will offer upgraded facilities and amenities to guests at the high limit slots, Adios Lounge and The Clubhouse and include the replacement of carpeting on the entire casino floor.

“While The Meadows continues to announce investments in brick and mortar projects at our facility, we also want to ensure our guests surroundings are kept to a very high standard,” said Sean Sullivan, The Meadows vice president and general manager. “We work very hard to deliver a memorable and unparalleled experience to our guests. These enrichments and additional amenities will allow us to maintain that commitment.”

Butler services will be added, along with a hot food station, bar service and personal valet services, to name a few.

The Adios Lounge will also feature game chair massage service (pending Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approval), private office space and large screen TV viewing.

A ribbon cutting is expected in mid December.

The Clubhouse is being remodeled and upgraded to include a new bar, serving a variety of draft beers. New lighting fixtures will also be added, along with a new food display and many other service enrichments.

Beginning Dec. 3, work will begin to replace the carpeting on the entire casino floor. Work will cease from Dec. 21 and continue on Jan. 2. The project is expected to be complete by Feb. 1, 2013.

The enhancements are being completed following the conclusion of a $25 million expansion project that occurred over the last 18 months, including a new parking garage, access road improvements and the purchase of adjacent property for a retail project, soon to be announced.
