The Spa & Salon at Southpointe to Offer Holistic Services

Looking to pamper yourself, host a wedding party or for a simple beauty service? The Spa & Salon at Southpointe is serving up new things!

Recently under new ownership, the salon is being remodeled with a redesigned interior, which is anticipated to be complete by the end of the year.

Owner Carmela Cugini, of Washington, PA, is a director of sales for PepsiCo and has had family history in the spa and salon industry for the last 20 years in Columbus, OH.

“It was a good way to get into my own business,” she said. “A good thing to sink my teeth into.”

Cugini took over in April, but former owner Pat Zacour plans to stay part-time for her clients.

Cugini said the facility is going to offer much more on the menu—including treatments geared toward holistic living.

Fresh at the salon is an organic product line for hair color, the latest OPI Nail Lacquer gel manicure and, soon, the AromaTouch massage featuring doTERRA essential oils—certified, pure and therapeutic-grade.

In addition, the spa will offer hypnotherapy for weight loss and anxiety, among other symptoms. 

Cugini said the business caters to wedding parties on the weekends and her hair designers are fluent in all the latest techniques. Smoothing treatments and color correction are just some of the salon's specialities. 

In October, the business will be participating in Paint Yourself Pink to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. For every service sold, $1 will be donated to breast cancer research. The salon will be providing pink manicures and pedicures, and "bling" extensions, among other services.
