Washington County Residents Asked to Conserve Water

Pennsylvania American Water on Monday issued a conservation notice for all of its Allegheny and Washington County customers to reduce water consumption due to a power failure at the Becks Run Pumping Station, one of the company’s primary plant intakes along the Monongahela River.

The notice does not apply to customers in Pennsylvania American Water’s California Borough water system.

Crews from Duquesne Light are working with Pennsylvania American Water to make the necessary repairs on the power generation infrastructure at the pumping station, where the company will be installing back up generation systems in the coming months.
