'Weird Al,' Bill Cosby Slated for Performances at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino

Ronnie Dunn is also scheduled to perform at the North Strabane Township venue in celebration of the racetrack's 50th anniversary.

The Meadows Racetrack & Casino revealed its slate of national performances for the outdoor concert series for 2013—one that includes comedic and music legends.

The performances are anchored by comedians “Weird Al” Yankovic and Bill Cosby and are part of the entertainment facility’s celebration of the racetrack’s 50th anniversary.

“Weird Al” Yankovic kicks off the concert series as part of his Alpocalypse Tour on June 1 and is known for his humorous songs that make light of popular culture.

The concert series wraps up with Cosby, a well-known and loved comedian and actor who will entertain the crowd on Aug. 17 with a night of laughter and comic energy. Cosby has collected nice Grammy Awards and four Emmy Awards during his successful entertainment career.

The Meadows concert series has become a popular venue for visitors throughout the Tri-state area, incorporating the grandstand and racetrack area of the world-class entertainment destination.

“Our outdoor concerts have added another exciting entertainment option for the guests of The Meadows,” said Sean Sullivan, vice president and general manager of The Meadows Racetrack & Casino. “This year’s performances will be a part of an extra special time as we celebrate the lively tradition that our racetrack has produced over the last 50 years.”
