5 Things You Need to Know Today

Report cards, Kennywood bus pass details, GO Green Club meeting, the Looking Glass Theater and district email settings.

  • Final Report Cards Available

As of last Wednesday, final grades are now available for viewing in PowerSchool. No hard copy report cards will be mailed home this year—for any grade level. If you would like to request a hard copy for your records, the district suggests you contact the main office in your child's building. For information on how to access your child's online grades and attendance, visit the district webpage then click on PowerSchool.

  • Kennywood Bus Pass Details

Kennywood bus passes must be purchased by noon on Monday. Cost is $3 per person, which includes transportation to and from Kennywood. Buses will leave at 10:30 a.m. for Kennywood and depart from the park at 9 p.m. Approximate arrival time back to PTMS is 9:40 p.m. The district notes no one will be permitted to ride home from Kennywood without a bus pass. The district's is June 21.

  • Peters Township Public Library GO Green Club Meeting

The next scheduled meeting is Monday at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the library in the conference room. The club will be discussing involvement—directing attendees to receptacles where they can dispose of their recyclable bottles, cans and plastics. The club needs your help! Please email Jennifer Garrett if you can spare an hour or two that day.

  • Update your PTSD Email Settings

The district is asking you to take a minute and review your email settings. Be sure that you don't miss any important messages by updating the lists you have selected. I.e. If your child has moved from to the middle school you'll need to update your settings. There is not an automatic rollover that ensures you will be on the lists in the buildings where your children are enrolled.

Follow these steps:

  • Visit www.ptsd.k12.pa.us and select the Email News link from the left side of the page.
  • Enter your email address into the box where indicated.
  • Follow the instructions to verify your email, and instructions will be emailed to you for updated your account settings.
