Classic Car Show Makes Pit Stop at Pennsylvania Trolley Museum

More than 50 sparkling classic cars will fill museum grounds Sunday.

Calling all car buffs, families and residents! More than 50 classic cars will be on display Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum in Washington, as DJs Fritz and Judy entertain the crowd with classic oldies.

After five years of restoration, visitors will have an opportunity to ride the 1911 Rio de Janeiro open-air trolley car. Other activities will include unlimited trolley rides, motor car rides, Blaster Bouncer, balloons, face-painting with Rainbow the Clown and bubble fun.

Pittsburgh artist Linda Barnicott and jewelry artisan Linda Metzer will be making special appearances.

The day's admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors (62+), $6 for children (ages 3-15) and children under 2 will enter for free. The museum also offers a special family rate of $35, which covers up to two adults and four children.

Boasting more than 600 members and 150 active volunteers, the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum opened to the public in 1963—an effort to communicate the story of Pennsylvania's trolley era.

The museum is open to the public daily through Labor Day. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
