Fort Pitt Bridge Cleaning To Mean Lane Restrictions

Overnight cleaning begins Tuesday.

The Fort Pitt Bridge will be reduced to single lanes in each direction starting Tuesday for cleaning.

Single lane closures will occur as needed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights through July 1, according to PennDOT. Only one direction will be restricted at a time.

Crews from Thornbury, Inc. of Sunbury, will be doing the cleaning. Outbound restrictions will be coordinated to minimize impacts on traffic leaving downtown events.
