Holiday Happenings: A Weekend Event Guide

A summary of weekend events to help you finalize your pre-yuletide plans.

A weekend of fun-filled holiday events in Peters Township start Friday evening. Unsure where to start your planning? Read below for a summary of events and prepare to bundle up for the predicted chilly weather.

Dec. 3, 6-10p.m., Are you hoping to finish your holiday chores Friday night? Drop the kids off at Peace Lutheran Church for their . The group will have dinner, watch movies, make crafts and play games with your children. It's $5 a child per hour and $3 for each additional child per hour.

Dec. 3, 6 p.m., Another church event in the area is at St. David's Anglican Church. Stop by for dinner and then a trip to see Little Lake Theatre's production of ", " for $22. Click for details.

The Peters Township Middle School Dance is 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, as well as a movie night at the library, live music at Farmhouse Coffee and the first production of  at 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 4, 9:30 a.m., Bring the kids for at Trax Farms. Breakfast and treats will be served for $8 per child. This event is open to all.

Dec. 4, 1 p.m., Can't make it to Breakfast with Santa? Visit Trax Farms for . Lunch and treats will be served and the cost is $8 per child. Both Breakfast and Lunch with Santa events continue the following weekend, Dec. 11, 12.

Dec. 4, 3-7 p.m., Neighbor Barbara Baker is holding the open house at her home, 302 Abbey Brook Lane. Food and beverages will be served. Please bring a new and unwrapped toy for donation.

Dec. 5, 12:30-6:30 p.m., The is in its fourth year and is hosted by the Peters Creek Historical Society. Visit the historical Wrights House, enjoy a hearty meal and stroll through the decorated museum. Vendors will be selling gifts and the event is open to all. 

Dec. 5, 1-5 p.m., Stop by five beautifully-decorated homes participating in the . All proceeds benefit the Watchful Shepherd. Tickets ($25) can be purchased at The Cob Collection, Wild Orchid, Miller's Ace Hardware, Crossroads Florist, Delightfully Different and Herman J. Heyl Florist.

Dec. 5, 2-4 p.m., Bring the kids to the Community Recreation Center for a holiday craft party, . The price is $2 per resident, $3 per non-resident. 

Dec. 5, 6 p.m., Finish your weekend with the township's annual . Enjoy hot cocoa, entertainment, Santa Claus and much more.
