Kids' Camp at Trax Now Accepting Registrations

Sign up your child by Wednesday for a week of educational fun!

Kids' camps are all the rage this summer, and what's better than knowing it's educational?

is hosting its Kids' Camp Aug. 3-11, two sessions per day at 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 per child, per session.

Kids will do fun, educational crafts while learning about gardening, soil, animals, herbs, vegetables and the inner workings of a farm.

The schedule is as follows: 

Aug. 3—"Wonderful World of Water Gardening"
"A fun demonstration of ponds and what interesting critters call it their home. Kids will make their own pond puzzle."

Aug. 4—"Earth Friendly Kids"
"Learn about soil, what it is made of and the animals that make it their home. Pot a flower to take home, and get a worm to compete in the worm races."

Aug. 10—"Herb Gardening for Kids"
Children will learn about a variety of herbs and vegetables.
They also will make their own mini herb garden to take home.

Aug. 11—"Down on the Farm"
Learn about the farm and how the things they eat grow.
Then they get a fun hayride around the farm (weather permitting).

There will be alternative crafts if it rains, and parents must remain on the premises.

Trax Farms' store hours are daily 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
